Bescot Beat: Will we learn our lesson?

This is a relevant question, which relates to the pathetic finishing that only a scrum-half would be proud of.

I am talking about the lack of cover brought in to fill the void left by retiring Welshman Stephen Roberts.

I am also talking about the lack of urgency to even think about a longer deal for Darren Byfield.

Woeful would be a word used by the media to describe Walsall’s finishing, but I have to say having re-watched the highlights again, this might be seen as a polite expression.

My thoughts are far to taboo to even publish on this site, but it does begin in s.

A drastic improvment it needed if we are to maintain what has been a good-ish couple of games (excluding the 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool).

Do we need another striker in the squad? Not at the moment, as the partnership between Byfield and Deeney looks to be producing chances at the moment, which will hopefully lead to goals.

Another defender….erm most certainly! With the retirement of Stephen Roberst and injury to Clayton McDonald, a gapping hole has been left in the Saddlers back four.

The loan market has always been a good solution, as we have signed some crackin’ players through the market.

However, it is rare that it ever works out for the player: ladies and gentlemen I present Gary O’Neill.

Anyway, on to things a little more positive and my congrats go to Mark Bradley, who has earnt a place in the next Welsh squad, due to serious injuries.
