Coventry Saga Rears Its Ugly Head

Since December last year we have been made aware of the current situation of Coventry City FC. During this time we have been linked on numerous occasions to allow Coventry to share The Banks’s Stadium.

Yesterday the mumurs started to get louder from angry supporters from both sides following confirmation from news sources claiming that both clubs have spoken about the possible ground share.

Central News presenter Darryl Murphy tweeted this morning ‘To clarify, senior sources at Walsall FC have told me that they HAVE had talks with Coventry City about ground-sharing.’

Walsall today issued a statement today saying “Walsall FC are categorically denying that a three-year deal to ground share with Coventry has been agreed.”

This still doesnt deny whether talks are still ongoing.

Whilst I wouldnt want our near neighbours find themselves homeless or unable to fulfil their fixture schedule, I dont like the idea of these rumours causing unwanted attention at the end of what has been a very promising season.

Surely Coventry could locate to Hinckley, Nuneaton or Rushden and Diamonds – considering no one currently plays there?

What do you think on the potential ground share?
