Former Walsall legendary left back Zigor Aranalde is set to join Leeds United as assistant manager to link up with Javi Gracia.

Aranalde was Gracia’s assistant at Watford, Valencia and Al Sadd and is set to be named his number two again this month.

Aranalde joined the Saddlers in 2000 and went onto play one hundred and ninety five times for the Saddlers. He was instrumental in our promotion to Division 1 in 2001 via the play-offs and played a key part in our successive survival campaigns in the second tier.

We wish Zigor the best of luck at Leeds.
