Former Walsall loanee and young player of the season Carl Rushworth is set to join Derby County on a season long loan deal.
Derby ne head coach Liam Rosenior has links to Brighton having played for the club at the end of his career and coaching their Under 23 side.
Rushworth is an outstanding talent whose performances in a dire Walsall side got the attention of England staff and he was called into the Under 21 squad recently.
Rushworth kept 11 clean sheets in 43 games for Walsall as they finished 16th in League Two in 2021-22.
