Walsall gave minutes to four trialists last night during our 4-1 victory against Leamington.

The goalkeeper who played the second half is believed to be former Carlisle goalkeeper MICHAEL KELLY. Kelly who has played majority of his career in Ireland, joined Carlisle last season and didnt feature for the Cumbrians as they gained promotion from League 2.

The two centre backs who featured in the second half are believed to be Alvechurch defender HARRY WILLIAMS who spent a few trial periods at Leicester City last season and started his youth career at West Bromwich Albion. The other centre half is rumoured to be DARNELL JOHNSON who started his career at Leicester before having loan spells at Hibernian, Wigan and Wimbledon before joining Fleetwood in 2001.

And the fourth trialist was a familiar face in MILAN LALKOVIC who started his career at Chelsea. He played for the Saddlers on loan in 2013 and made thirty eight appearances scoring six goals. He then joined Barnsley before returning to the Saddlers in 2015 where he made forty six appearances and scoring seven goals before moving Portsmouth the following season. He moved back to Slovakia in 2018 but has come back to the Saddlers for pre season hoping to earn a contract.
