Winger Julian Gray has hailed boss Dean Smith for his own and his team’s recent good form.

Julian Gray, who has now scored 7 goals, 3 of them in the last 4, is loving playing in the resurgent Walsall team.

He told BBC Sport: ‘The team is playing with more confidence…..everybody’s taken the shackles off now and we realise it’s down to us to keep doing the right things.’

Gray has been a noticeably different, improved player since the departure of Chris Hutchings and has been a invaluable member of the team in the four game unbeaten run for the Saddlers.

Gray sums up many of the positives that the change in management has given the Saddlers. Too many things were going wrong leading up to Christmas but no one was owning up to it, but now the race is on and Walsall is getting stronger with every game under the new regime.

Up The Saddlers!
