WALSALL FOOTBALL CLUB OWNS POUNDLAND BESCOT STADIUM!!!

To many from the outside this wouldn’t seem such a big deal but ask any Walsall fan and this is a MOMENTOUS occasion, one which will go down in the history of our great club and an occasion that we owe so much gratitude to Leigh Pomlett, Trivela, Stefan Gamble, Dan Mole and all other board members.

When Leigh Pomlett took over as chairman of Walsall Football Club in 2019 he promised his legacy would be to unite the football club with its freehold – COVID hit the economy and many were left wondering if this day would ever come. This summer Trivela purchased majority of shares from Leigh Pomlett and again reiterated their desire to purchase the Poundland Bescot Stadium freehold. Roll forward four months and it is finally OUR HOME.

Thousands of us have stood outside main reception protesting at the previous regime and their rental agreement however that has now ceased and we can all look forward to a brighter future. Obviously a mortgage on the stadium is still to be paid but as Stefan Gamble said the mortgage repayments will be far less.

To those that stopped away and refused to pay towards Jeff Bonsers “pension fund” as it was often described you can all return home now knowing every penny will go towards our great club.

Take me home Wednesbury Road to a place I belong!
