As pace gathers behind new players coming into WS1, other players are beginning to be linked with a move to the new-look Saddlers squad.

With the team stripped bare in the early parts of the summer, the new additions of Mark Hughes, Steve Jones, Josh O’Keefe, and now Sam Parkin have seen a turn around in suqad numbers with more players being linked everyday.

The Hutch Revolution may turn its attentions to luring veteran striker Lee Hughes, who is currently without a club.

Other sources suggest that CH will make an ambitious bid to sign Cardiff striker Warren Feeney, which would seem unlikely as the Northern Ireland international is under contract and would cost a fee.

He is also set to miss the start of the 2009/10 season to undergo hip surgery, which means that this is merely speculation and far from the truth.

A more realistic rumour comes in the form of Aston Villa’s young striker Nathan Delfouneso.

The 18-year-old is a exciting prospect with a lot of pace and talent to match.

He has made only four appearances since breaking into the Villa first team and is yet to score a goal.

Therefore, he would benefit in regular first team football elsewhere, especially close to home and in a lower league, similar to the situation of Jermaine Defoe when he was a West Ham and he was loaned out for the season to Bournemouth.

Only time will tell….watch this space!!
