Now Deeney has officially left Walsall for Watford, Hutchings now has his sights on finding a replacement.

The deal of £500,000, with an additional £150,000 should Watford make premier league, allows ample funds for Hutchings to shop for new talent.

‘My attention will turn to bringing in a replacement for the outgoing player..with the speculation regarding Troy, we have been busy identifying targets, which we will now pursue further.’ He told the official site.

Deeney scored 42 goals and made 132 appearances in his four years at the club, after being plucked from obscurity, non league team Chelmsley Town.

Finally, the Deeney chapter is closed and the Saddlers can look ahead.
