Keates Rules Out One Player But Shows Interest In Another

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates has today ruled out a move for a player he has worked with but hasn’t ruled out a move for a former Walsall loanee.

Keates has today told the Express and Star that he will not be making a move for Blackpool striker Scott Quigley. Quigley had scored eight goals in seventeen appearances for Wrexham under Dean Keates but he doesn’t believe that the striker will fit in with his plans and states “he will not be joining this football club”

However a name branded about over the weekend – Zeli Ismail is one that does catch the eye and the boss says he would be interested in him coming to the club.

“He (Ismail) is lively. He is somebody that, yes, we could look at him. But it’s still early days and there will be a lot of conversations going on. I’m interested in all good players coming to this football club”

Ismail has suffered an inconsistent career since widely tipped as the first £100m player however his most consistent performances in the past few seasons came when he was on loan here.

It will be a very busy summer at WS1, who do you want to see Dean Keates bring to the club? Let us know on our social media channels.
