League One Preview

There is no doubt about it, you can say that every game that Leeds play until they hit zero points is the game of the day, but it would be a lie. Ok, maybe I am going to be biased, but we are Vital Walsall after all. This week’s game of the day comes at the Banks’s Stadium, where DD’s faultering Saddlers face a Port Vale side, which could change each others season’s for the better. It is now five straihg defeats for last year’s champions, who are gradually becoming this year’s losers. Technically, the Saddlers lie bottom of the table, offically they have administration in Yorkshire to thank that they are second from bottom. It’s not about winning, although that would be nice of course, it’s about stopping the rot and getting a result – something that DD will no doubt tell his players before 1pm on Saturday.

Here are the rest of the weekend’s League One fixtures:

Friday, Sept 7
Brighton v Millwall 7.45pm (Draw)
Northampton v Doncaster 7.45pm (Away Win)

Saturday, Sept 8
Carlisle v Tranmere (Home Win)
Crewe v Huddersfield (Home Win)
Leeds v Hartlepool (Home Win)
Leyton Orient v Bournemouth (Home Win)
Luton v Bristol Rovers 12pm (Draw)

Walsall v Port Vale 1pm (Draw)

Sunday, Sept 9
Swindon v Yeovil 4pm (Away Win)

All kick offs at 3pm, unless stated. All predictions in brackets, e.g. (Home Win).
