Richard Money takes his league Two leaders to Sincil bank on saturday to face an unbeaten Lincoln City. Lincoln have gained a reputation for been the league two bridesmaids, having reached successive play off games only for it to all end in tears. Out has gone manager Keith Alexander and in comes John Schofield backed up by John Deehan, another play off push looks likely.

Managers talk

Lincolns John Schofield expects a tough game
‘This will be completely different to the Hereford and Torquay games, and will be our toughest test so far’
Physio Jon Whitney has been remembering his time at Lincoln and hoping the saddlers are building the same crazy gang spirit that saw John Becks Lincoln climb the league.

Lincoln City Team News:

Following a home draw with Notts County, two away wins at Torquay and Hereford have given the Imps the chance to go top if they win and other results go in there favour. Ex saddler Gary Birch misses the clash having gone to Tamworth on loan, otherwise no reported problems for the Imps.
I would expect a 4-4-2 formation
Marriott in goal, defence of Beavers,Morgan, Moses, and Mayo. Midfield Amoo, Frecklington,Kerr, Hughes. with Stallard and Forester upfront.

Player to watch: Jamie Forester

Having been over shadowed in the goalscoring stakes by Stallard, Forester will be hoping to get his first goal of the season against the saddlers. Jamie played for Walsall under Ray Graydon in a brief loan spell so will be wanting to get over the Bescot boys.

Walsall Team News:

James Constable will be out for ten days after injury against Port Vale reserves. Skipper Michael Dobson will also sit out due to a head injury. Long term absentees Darren Wrack and Alex Nichols join them on the side lines. Late reports state that Tony Bedeau may be able to gain a place on the bench but more likely that another week before he is back. Although Alan Picken maybe come back to the bench. New signing winger Carlos Fanguerio will be included in the squad. I would expect the team to line up as against Hartlepool with the changes restricted to the bench.

Player to watch: Dean Keates

Joined us from Lincoln having been there for seven months, following a move from Kiddy. It remains unclear what reception Deano will get from the locals but he needs a performance. On saturday he was given the arm band and responded with two goals,if he wants to keep the shirt when Dobbo is back he needs to maintain the standard.

Match Facts & Stats

Lincoln have drawn there last five league games at home, but don’t be fooled there last win was against Grimsby by 5-0 which shows there strenght, and they last lost at home to Wycombe in October, it looks a hard nut to crack.

Match Prediction:

It is early days but this game is looking the hardest to date, I would be happy with a draw, 0-0 to keep the clean sheet roll going.
