Reports this morning suggest that a female has been arrested following a stabbing in Barnsley Town Centre with unconfirmed reports that two suspects still remain “on the run”.
One witness claimed the woman was “shouting in Arabic”, carrying a “large knife” and “trying to stab everyone near traders stalls”.
The passer-by also claims the woman was with another woman and a man who “were carrying machetes”.
Saddlers fans are travelling to Barnsley this morning ready for our League 1 fixture this afternoon however we would insist that all fans avoid the Town Centre as much as possible with it still on lockdown.
There is a large police presence in the area as they continue to identify what has happened.
