Purkiss Injured In Training

Walsall full back Ben Purkiss was today ruled out for upto two weeks with ankle ligament damage which he suffered in training yesterday.

This is a blow to ‘Purks’ with the season just four weeks away and the former Hereford defender will now find himself a few weeks behind everyone else.

Purkiss signed in the Summer of 2012 and has made over 40 appearances in two seasons, before penning a new deal this summer.
