It’s no surprise really, but the Saddlers have voted to say that they would welcome the return of former star and title winning midfielder Dean Keates.
Deano is available on a free transfer after having his contract with Peterborough cancelled by mutual consent, and has been linked with a return to WS1, as well as Torquay United.
However, a mere 84% voted yes to a Deano return, with only 16% stating that they would not want him to move back to the Midlands.
Whether there are any truth in the speculation, unlike the Sullivan-Gold takeover of Walsall (try West Ham, hmmmm), I think it is looking more and more unlikely of a Deano return, especially with Hutch announcing that due to the loss of revenue over the Christmas period – which saw the Saddlers report a loss of over £100,000 – that transfers would be very tight.
It remains to be seen what will happen next?
