Tranmere manager Micky Mellon has today conceded that it looks highly unlikely that Jamille Matt will be joining the club, paving the way for his move to Walsall.
Mellon said
“I wouldnt expect Jamille Matt to be here but we are looking to strengthen the group because that is what the demands of Tranmere are”
Both Walsall and Tranmere met Forest Green’s asking price of Matt yesterday.
Forest Green Rovers have today signed former Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko to allow Matt to leave the club.
Matt grew up in Walsall and has played under Michael Flynn at Newport.
Lets hope he is signed up and ready to play against Tranmere on Saturday.
