Tinky winky and the man from delmonte and others will be there but no one will know…the stewards will be in for some stick again, and one might get a kiss again….don’t worry it is a girl!!! Who knows what has changed from our last visit on our relegation celebration the season before last.

One thing for sure is there will be Saddlers in the Livingston Arms, it has a fish and chip shop on the other side of the road, rather worse for wear last time made the trip a little hazzardous.

Michelle Dixon, the landlady of the ‘Livingstone Arms’ on Gillingham Road is quote as saying ‘Our pub is known as an ‘Away Supporters’ pub and is situated approximately 100 yards from the away turnstiles. The atmosphere within the pub is both warm and friendly and there is even complimentary bar food laid on for fans. Otherwise you can purchase a hot pie with your pint, or visit the local chip shop, situated across the road.’ This pub which also has a beer garden, is popular with both away and home supporters and as you would expect it gets rather busy on matchdays.

The ground is walkable from the town centre, where there are a fair few pubs to be found. Such as’Will Adams’ in the town centre. The pub is in the good beer guide and does good cheap food. The’Southern Belle’ opposite the railway station, which also has a cafe located next door is also recomended. ‘The Ship’ public house on the Lower Rainham Road is another which is okay. However I have been told away fans should avoid ‘The Cricketers’ in Sturdee Avenue.

For me it really doesn’t need to go any further than the Livingston Arms…so see you there.
