So it just isn’t on the pitch where criticism and scrutiny is aimed, for a third time this season away supporters have spoken about their disgust at the stewarding at Walsall Football Club.
A video has appeared on Twitter this morning showing an overzealous Walsall steward refusing to allow Alex Mowatt to celebrate with his supporters at full time.
Sorry but who does this steward think he is ? Telling Alex to get away when he’s trying to clap and thank our fans for coming? No wonder Alex shoved him off. Chuffin div pic.twitter.com/tlFOb5GD5o

This isn’t the first time celebrations at the Banks’s have been overshadowed by stewards mob handed approach, you can see below the video taken during our 4-1 home defeat to Doncaster where a steward was seen to pull players back from a section of the away support.
@FSF_FairCop another fine example of stewarding here ???????? pic.twitter.com/cWo8qJCth1

During the game Barnsley supporters had thrown a flare inside the stadium and also encroached on the playing surface but given the player was just trying to celebrate with supporters seemed harsh and criticism we don’t need.
As a travelling supporter if you know what clubs stewards are renowned for gets your back up before you have even stepped foot inside a stadium – lets not become one of those clubs eh?
