Walsall never find Bury an easy place to visit and decent results have been in short supply in recent encounters. This trip is not likely to be anything other than tough.

Vital Quotes:

Mark Kinsella has been talking up the youth set up but warning the Saddlers youngsters that they will have to wait for there turn.
Looking at the game the saddlers are expecting a tough game and the management have stated that in no uncertain terms, but DD remains positive, when is he anything different.

Bury Team News:

Tom Youngs is pushing for a tarting spot have returned from injury to regain a place on the bench.
Bury star and last years conference top scorer and ex saddlers player Andy Bishop missed saturdays cup game with Chester but will be fit to face the Saddlers. It seems that the Bury manager will have a virtually full squad to choose from. Although the return of loanee goalkeeper Mr Schmicheal means the defence maybe a little unsettled.

Player to watch: Andy Bishop

Came through the ranks with Matty Fryatt, Andy quiet often looked the better player, but Matty had that killer touch in the box. Andy left the saddlers as it became clear his chances were limited to break through into a championship side (those were the days) and a spell in the conference with York City gave him chance to improve and earn another chance at league football, and so far he doesn’t look out of place.

Walsall Team News:

Saturday’s day off has given a chance for a few knocks to be rested. Anthony Gerrard may come back into the squad, although Roper and Dann will be tough acts to shift. Westwood had his best game in a Walsall shirt against County so will be looking to kick on. Midfield Dobson Kinsella with Keates and Wright wide is the favoured combination but DD isn’t affraid to make changes to get the service right to Tommy Wright and Martin Butler up front.

Player to watch: Martin Butler

A change of strike partner brought a renewed performance from Martin. Ten days training with new side kick Tommy Wright means the saddlers are hopeful the goals will start to flow for Martin. He has good memories of games at Gigg lane but if a goal doesn’t come the pressure will get greater, especially now Par Cedarquesist waits in the wings.
