Walsall will be looking to put their terrible run behind them with the visit of our near neighbours Crewe Alexandra.

Walsall havent won since the 2-1 win over Bournemouth at the end of September.
Crewe have lost 3 of their last 4 games and have only won once on their travels this season.

Vital Quotes:

Walsall manager Dean Smith told the Official Site ‘It has all the ingredients to be an entertaining game on Saturday. The reaction and the response of the players has been fantastic and hopefully we will get the result that we all desire against Crewe.’

Crewe Manager Steve Davies told the Crewe Official Site ‘Smith has assembled a good young team there and they play good football. They had a great start to the season but have fallen away a bit, but it will still be tough at their stadium’

Walsall Team News:

Walsall will have Flo Cuvelier available. He suffered an injury last week but luckily he has trained all week and is ready for tomorrow.
James Chambers completed 45 minutes in a reserve game this week but will still probably be a couple of weeks away from being fully fit.
Walsall striker Will Grigg is also available following his return from the Northern Ireland set-up.

Player to watch: George Bowerman

George Bowerman is still the man to watch despite his recent quiet spell. Hopefully DS will partner someone up top with him tomorrow as the lone role is starting to take effective on him.

Crewe Team News:

Crewe will be without Brandon Moores who is serving his 3 match suspension.

Crewe will be without highly rated Leitch-Smith, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury at the weekend.

Crewe will be bolstered by the return of Abdul Osman who has been out recently.

Player to watch: Max Clayton

I have seen this guy play on numerous occasions and this guy will make it big.
Hes scored 4 goals this season and will cause Walsall problems tomorrow.

Match Facts & Stats

Walsall have played Crewe 35 times winning 18 and losing just 5.

Our last meeting was a 1-1 draw in March 2009

Ref Watch:

The man in the middle will be Mr David Webb from County Durham.

So far Mr Webb has refereed 8 games this season, handing out 24 yellow cards and 0 reds.
He will be remembered for colliding with a Peterboro player last season and suffering injury.

Match Prediction:

Neither side are in form recently so this will be a cagey affair that I think could end up a draw.
