Kevan Hurst has joined the Saddlers today after being released by Carlisle United.

The 25 year old left footed winger and midfielder made 35 appearances for the Cumbrian side in his 2 years and made 21 appearances for Morecombe on loan last season.

He started his career at Sheffield United, but made only 1 appearance and was loaned to Boston, Stockport, Chesterfield and Scunthorpe before a £200,000 permanent move to Scunthorpe in 2007.

Hurst told the official site: ‘I enjoy playing out wide, getting at players and creating chances. I feel that the size of the pitch here will suit my game and hopefully I can make a contribution both in terms of creating chances and scoring goals.’

Smith added: ‘He’s been transferred for decent money during his career and has plenty of promise. On top of that he’s an ambitious lad who has the right attitude.’

Another good signing, things are moving along nicely!

Only 2 days before the team meets for preseason and then things will really get interesting. Can’t Wait!

Up The Saddlers!
