Acorns Children’s Hospice Needs YOU!

|

Walsall’s Acorns Children’s Hospice has today been named Walsall Football Clubs ‘charity partner’ as the club aim to raise £10,000 for the charity.

Walsall Chairman Leigh Pomlett visited the Hospice today to pledge his support and had called on our great fans to help as much as they can!

Todays visit follows the news that Acorns has postponed the decision close its Black Country hospice until November and launched an urgent major public fundraising appeal to secure the longer-term future of the Walsall-based hospice.

The Club are hoping that raising the five-figure sum will help Acorns reach its £2,000,000 fundraising target.

Walsalls Children Hospice which opened in June 1999, has ten bedrooms, a family care suite and three bedrooms for families and friends to stay.

The hospice in Walsall provides a home-from-home environment where each child receives a tailor-made package of individual care.

Pomlett told the Official Site

“The hospice is a big part of the community and they’re very local to the club, that is why we are very keen to help them out where we can”

“Hopefully our fans will get behind the hospice like they have with the team and we can all support them in their time of need.”

Fans can donate in a number of ways…
