Tranmere away. Every year we go into this game thinking: “we should get a result here” but every year it seems that`s just not the case. I absolutely hate playing Tranmere because there`s just something about them that makes them impervious to our best efforts and, for just one magical day every year, everyone in a Tranmere shirt is suddenly blessed with the football ability of the Gods. So let`s get this weekend over with.

On paper, they`re really not that impressive but we proved last week that football matches are not won on paper. The obvious exception to this being Enoch Showunmi. The big man up front really knocks a few holes through us every time we meet him and I have no doubt he`ll do the same again tomorrow. As well as him, the young lad they`ve got on loan from Everton; Jose Baxter, is a very dangerous young man and he will give Manny and Butler all sorts of problems. Aside from that, there`s only really Joss Labadie and Robbie Weir, both in midfield, that really show up on my radar.

On our own side it was great to see Nicho finally showcase some of his undoubted ability and let`s hope he can carry that form over into tomorrow`s game. If he does, we have a very good chance of scoring a few goals, providing Chambo and the 2 wingers can chip in on the creative front.

Tranmere have won their last 2 games
on the bounce and are unbeaten in 4 but that run has to come to an end at some point so let`s hope we can be the ones to bring their hugely successful run to an abrupt stop. I personally can`t see it happening and think Rovers will probably beat us by a goal or 2 but I am so often wrong with my predictions so let`s just hope this is another case of my inability to gamble successfully. I hate to say it but Tranmere to win 2-1 and Nicho to keep up his good goal-scoring run of late with another well-taken goal. Come on you Reds!!!!
