The Saddlers welcome Blackpool to The Banks’s Stadium this weekend hoping to get back to winning ways having won just one game out the last five (all competitions)

Vital Quotes:

Whitney ‘”We know we can`t keep giving cheap goals away.

“We are working hard to turn some of these draws into wins.

“We have hit the ground running this week. We had a double session – working on those areas we need to improve. We then reinfored that yesterday’

Bowyer ‘We have not done badly but we have to do better. “We`ve had to take the Southend result through for two weeks, which doesn`t sit right but we will work hard for the next game against Walsall.”

Walsall Team News:

The Saddlers welcome back skipper Adam Chambers from injury although it may be too early for Flo Cuvelier.

Walsall boss Jon Whitney must decide whether to play either Dan Agyei or Tyler Roberts.

Player to watch: Tyler Roberts

Roberts is the only player worth watching at the minute. Since arriving on loan from WBA, Roberts has found life easy in League 1. Whether we can keep him past January remains to be seen.

Blackpool Team News:

Armand Gnanduillet (thigh) has trained this week so boss Gary Bowyer does have other attacking options, while midfielder Jay Spearing could make his debut for the Seasiders.

Striker Mark Cullen is out until 2018.

Player to watch: Jimmy Ryan

Since signing from Fleetwood, Jimmy Ryan has become a pivotal part of Blackpools set up.

With our midfield leaving gaps it might allow Ryan to exploit.

Match Facts & Stats

The Saddlers have lost just two of the past eight meetings.

The last time the sides met ended in a 1-1 draw with Jason Demetriou grabbing the Saddlers goal.

Ref Watch:

Referee – Tom Nield
Linesmen – Christopher Ward and David Benton

Match Prediction:

Given the Saddlers form of late you would be stupid not to back the draw. 1-1.
