Play-offs second year in a row?

|

Here is our second interview focusing on fellow League 2 teams. I spoke with Owen, as we take a look at Cheltenham Town.

Cheltenham finished League 2 in 4th place, and after PPG, they were under 3 points off of promotion. It was a season of surprise, as very few, including Owen and the Cheltenham fans, had predicted such a positive campaign. We have a chat about what changed to see them pushing up the league, rather than the mid-table mediocrity of previous years.

One of the contributing factors is Michael Duff. Owen tells us about what he has brought to the table in his spell as manager, and a bit about his style of management.

We looked into Cheltenham’s play-off matches and discussed what went right, and then what went wrong, as well as the financial implications of the club participating in the Play-offs. Finally we looked at new players who have come into the club, and where Owen thinks Cheltenham will be finishing next season, and who their key players could be.

Keep an eye out as there will be plenty more of these to come!
