Preston North End are closing in on the signing of Walsall attacker Josh Ginnelly, according to HITC

Ginnelly has been in fine form for the Saddlers so far this season scoring four goals in all competitions since his move from Burnley this summer.

Ginnelly who had previously spent time on loan with the Saddlers in 2016 looks set to join the Championship club with his contract due to expire next summer.

The former Burnley man has spent time on loan at Lincoln City and Tranmere Rovers before joining the Saddlers last summer.

It will be a blow for the Saddlers should he leave the club having given him his oppurtunity in League 1 and will give Dean Keates a dilemma with Ginnelly the only winger to have really impressed so far this season.

The Saddlers will be hoping for a decent fee for him so Dean Keates can bolster his team in January.
