Shorrock Becomes First Walsall Player To Leave

|

Walsall midfielder Will Shorrock has become the first player to announce his departure from the club.

Shorrock posted on his Instagram account today that he has been released from his contract just days after making his League 1 debut for the club.

On his Instagram Shorrock said

“Just shows the harsh reality of football to make my League 1 debut and three days later to be released. By far one of the most ruthless jobs there is however hard work continues”

Shorrock made his Walsall debut as a seventy fourth minute sub during our EFL Trophy victory over Sheffield United in 2016.

Shorrock penned a new deal in October last year until the end of this season. However it seems he wasn’t part of Dean Keates plans for next season.

Over the next few days you would imagine more players will announce their departure from Walsall FC.

Everyone at Vital Walsall wishes Will all the best for his future.
