Walsall Closing In On Signings – Possibly Today

|

Walsall boss Darrell Clarke has confirmed that he is closing in on some of his targets and said deals might happen today.

Clarke has already admitted he wants to add another three or four players to his squad ahead of the League 2 campaign. He has identified a centre-back, a utility man, a winger and a striker.

Yesterday we revealed that the Saddlers had agreed a fee with Macclesfield for their highly rated centre back Zak Jules. Jules has played for Reading and Shrewsbury Town during his short career.

George Dobson left the club yesterday after agreeing personal terms with Sunderland and signing a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The Saddlers end our pre-season campaign tomorrow as we travel to Tranmere Rovers with the new season just eight days away – we are all ready for Northampton aren’t we?

Stay tuned throughout the day as we bring you all the news as it happens.
