Walsall Deeney Windfall As Striker Nears Watford Exit?

Rumours in todays national press are indicating Watford are willing to listen to offers for former Walsall striker Troy Deeney.

According to reports Watford are willing to accept £20m for him and have already identified Benik Afobe as his replacement.

Now we always have this story every window so at present we will take it with a pinch of salt but as Walsall have a 20% sell on clause for their former front man they could be looking at a windfall of around £4m which will hopefully be used to purchase the freehold from under fire chairman Jeff Bonser.

Deeney moved from the Saddlers to Watford in 2010 and has gone on to score 102 goals in 289 appearances.
