Walsall boss Jon Whitney has today said it’s looking unlikely that the Saddlers will see Tyler Roberts return to the club.

Roberts had been on loan with the Saddlers since the summer and boss Whitney was hoping to convince WBA manager Alan Pardew that Roberts would gain more valuable experience if he returned to the Saddlers on loan.

AC Milan, Torino and Sampdoria have now shown an interest in the Welsh forward and with Leeds, Rangers and Marseille also showing interest – it’s safe to say a move back to Walsall wouldn’t be tempting enough with those clubs interested.

Walsall boss Jon Whitney is hopeful of adding one permanent signing to his squad as well as a few loanees ahead of the transfer window.
